Christmas Tree Recycling
If you live in a single family home, duplex, triplex or mobile home, you can place Christmas trees at the curb for collection between Dec. 26, 2023 and Jan. 19, 2024.
Multi-family households: check with your property manager or owner to determine where to place your tree for collection.
To prepare your tree, don't forget to:
- Remove all decorations, light strands and tree stands
- Cut into four-foot lengths or shorter
Place your tree at the curb, or inside your yard trimmings cart if the lid closes.
Flocked trees (sprayed with imitation snow) are treated as garbage. Flocked tree disposal options for single-family residents are:
- Cut it into small pieces and place in garbage side of garbage cart
- Schedule an on-call collection for curbside pickup
- Bring it to the SMaRT StationĀ® at 301 Carl Road - Fee: $49
- If the tree is unflocked the fee is $24.
Multi-family residents: check with your property manager for proper flocked tree disposal.
You can also recycle unusable holiday light strands at the SMaRT Station at no charge.
