If you live on the north of El Camino Real, you'll get a new yard trimmings cart between Feb. 17 to March 15. You may have some of the following questions.

When am I getting a new cart?
We'll deliver a new cart the day before your normal collection day between Feb. 17 and March 15. If your collection day is Monday, we'll deliver the cart Saturday.

Why am I getting a new cart?
Your old cart is at the end of its warranty. We need to replace it with a cart that meets new standards.

Can I keep my old cart?
No. Removing it now allows us to recycle it into a new cart.

What do I do with my old cart?
Set your cart out on your normal collection day. A crew should remove it by the end of the day. If not, put it out again on your next collection day.

Can my old cart have yard trimmings inside?
Yes. One truck will empty the cart. Another truck will remove it.

Am I paying extra for this new cart?
No. There is no extra charge for the new cart.
