Commercial, industrial and multifamily residential fire protections systems must be maintained regularly. Maintenance requirements are set by the California State Fire Marshal regulations. The City of Sunnyvale Fire Prevention reviews all records for compliance.

The City uses The Compliance Engine (TCE) for fire protection system maintenance records. TCE is an online service to manage the record reporting process.
