IMPORTANT: By signing up online, over the phone or in-person for classes or activities offered by the City of Sunnyvale, you agree to each of the City's Participation Policies. These include:

You must also follow the Aquatic Facility and Pool Rules.

If you fail to comply with aquatic facility requirements, you may be asked to leave, be denied entrance or forfeit swim privileges. 

Private Pool Party and Community Room

For a maximum of 60 guests

Where: Washington Swim Center
Availability: Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
Season availability: June 22 to Sept. 15

You can enjoy exclusive use of the pool from 12:30 to 2 p.m. You can enjoy time in the Community Room until 5 p.m. You can’t access the pool after 2 p.m. 

What’s Included? 

• Community Room set-up time (10:30 a.m. to noon) 
• Exclusive access to the Community Room (noon to 5 p.m.) 
• Exclusive pool access for 1.5 hours (12:30 to 2 p.m.) 
• Certified Lifeguards on-site during pool access 

Note:  You can’t set up the Community Room before 10:30 a.m.

Fees

• Refundable Damage Deposit: $500         
• Party Rental: Resident - $500, Nonresident - $550

Outdoor Patio Group Rental

For a maximum of 20 guests

Where: Washington Swim Center
Availability: Tuesdays through Sundays, 2 to 5 p.m.
Season availability: June 18 to Aug. 9

What’s Included? 

• Reserved outdoor patio area during recreation-swim hours.
  • This is not a private rental. There will be other patrons using the pool.
• Pool admission for 20 guests
  • Anyone entering the pool facility is considered a guest, even if they don’t swim.

Note: Early access to the pool deck is not allowed.  

 Fees

• Resident: $300
• Nonresident: $350

General Rental Information 

• Reservations open March 4. Email Aquatics with questions or to make a rental.
• Your reservation request must be made a minimum of 14 days prior to the event date. 
• You MUST pay all rental fees at least two weeks prior to the event date. 
• Requests are tentative until you return the user agreement and pay the security deposit. 
• You can’t prepare or cook food on-site. 

We only allow rentals for non-profit club sports. You may not rent the pool for commercial purposes.

Rental Requirements

To rent a pool you must meet the following requirements:

• Make rental requests at least 30 days in advance. 
• Minimum 2 hour rental.
• Have appropriate insurance (all groups)
• Pay a $500 deposit (all rentals)
• Provide your own lifeguards or certified staff.
• Submit a signed agreement before the start date of the rental.
• Follow all Aquatic Facility and Pool Rules. These will be emailed to you.
