The Columbia Neighborhood Center (CNC) provides recreational, health, educational and social service programs. This is achieved through a special collaboration between the City, the Sunnyvale Elementary School District, Advanced Micro Devices and numerous community agencies. The Center houses a gymnasium, fitness room, health and social services wing, and an on-site medical clinic.

Food Giveaway Program

Second Harvest Food Bank operates on the fourth Wednesday of the month, 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. at CNC as a contactless drive-through food distribution program for anyone who needs food. Register on-site the day of the program.

Public Benefits Help

Get help with free groceries, one-time financial aid and other public benefits. Offered by Sunnyvale Community Services (SCS) for low-income families and seniors. Call 408-738-4321.

SCS is available at CNC Tuesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. to help residents. No appointment necessary.

Youth Mentoring

The nonprofit organization Friends For Youth matches trained adult mentors with youth in need of role models. Adult and youth participants must be willing to commit three to four hours each week to participate in various activities together for a one-year period. Call 650-482-2867 for more information. Youth must be referred by a teacher or adult for mentoring program.
