The Sunnyvale Community Center is a recreation campus with performing and creative arts centers, indoor sports and general recreation buildings, a senior center and an historical museum. The Center is spread out around a pond and fruit orchards. The Center is where many City-sponsored community activities take place.

Facilities and Activities

Senior Center

The Senior Center includes a large ballroom and professional kitchen. It hosts recreational and cultural activities for adults 50 and older.

Performing Arts Center

The Performing Arts Center includes the 200-seat Sunnyvale Theatre and dance studio. It has a fully rigged and lighted stage that accommodates plays, recitals and concerts.

The theater hosts a resident theater company. The Sunnyvale Community Players present four to five musicals each season.

Creative Arts Center

Recreation Center

The Recreation Center is where class and facility reservations take place. The Center also hosts preschool gymnastics and meetings and events.

Sunnyvale Indoor Sports Center

The Indoor Sports Center hosts youth, adult and senior classes, a gymnastics program, adult sports leagues and a drop-in gym. The drop-in gym has regularly scheduled volleyball and badminton games for adults 16 and up.

Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum

The museum is housed in a replica of the home of one of Santa Clara Valley's original settlers, Martin Murphy Jr. It includes a permanent display depicting the area from its agricultural heyday to today's high-tech.
