Peery Park Specific Plan and Final EIR

The Peery Park Specific Plan and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) were approved by the City Council on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. See Documents tab for the Draft and Final Environmental Impact Reports.

• Adopted Peery Park Specific Plan

The purpose of the Peery Park Specific Plan is to provide the City, property owners and businesses with a guide for development in the Peery Park area. The plan provides general vision and broad policy concepts to guide development, but also include details on the type, location and intensity of uses and define the capacity and design of public improvements and infrastructure. The plan also determines the resources necessary to finance and implement the public improvements and infrastructure needed to support the vision.

During the 1970s, the area known as Peery Park, located northwest of downtown, was developed primarily with Class B and C one-story concrete tilt-up buildings. Peery Park was largely developed by Peery-Arrillaga and later portions were redeveloped by the Irvine Company and others.

The approximately 446-net acre area is made up of over 180 properties, consisting of over 77% industrial uses, 12% commercial and less than 1% residential. The area is generally bounded on the north by U.S. Highway 101, the south by the railroad, the west by the City of Mountain View border and the east by Mathilda Avenue. The area also includes industrial property north of Highway 101 and east of Mathilda Avenue. Major tenants in the area include offices for Blue Coat Systems, Apple, LinkedIn, Le Boulanger, Riverbed Technology, Hewlett Packard, Ariba, the Parkinson’s Institute, BMC Software, Synopsys and Patterson Dental.
